What does chiropractic care actually do?
Chiropractic care builds your connection to your own body. Your nervous system processes every experience you have: physical, chemical, mental, emotional. That same system organizes everything else in you, from your heartbeat to the tension in your fascia. When stress outpaces your ability to process it, parts of you drop out of the picture your brain keeps of your body. Range of motion shrinks. Muscles guard. Asymmetries appear in fascia, ligaments, tendons, and joints. We find those blind spots, the places your brain has stopped listening to, and use the adjustment to bring your awareness back to them. Chiropractic holds hundreds of techniques, and every one of them is a way of doing that one thing: reconnecting brain and body.
Can chiropractic help with my problem?
Your back pain, headache, or sciatica is a symptom. In our unified model of tone, symptoms appear when the tone of your system drifts from its midline, the state where it works most efficiently. Signals between brain and body distort. Tension redistributes. Something starts to hurt. A painkiller can silence the symptom. Our work addresses the thing producing it: we restore the tone of your system so your body can resolve what it has been signaling about. So yes, people come to us with headaches, back pain, sciatica, vertigo, poor sleep, and stress, and they get better. They get better because we take care of the root, and the symptom follows.
What does it cost, and do you take insurance?

A session is $150, flat. Your first visit and your hundredth cost the same.

We also offer a signature immersive experience at $5,000. The office is open Monday through Friday from 10 to 2 and 4 to 7, and Sunday from 12 to 4. The immersive books into the midday window, Monday through Friday from 2 to 4, with advance notice. For those two hours the office closes completely to see one person: you, with Dr. Jason, Dr. Mark, and our team of doctors working on you together. It exists for people healing something big, moving through a major life change, or simply wanting the deepest care we know how to give.

We do not bill insurance. Think of us the way you would a great restaurant. We do the work, and we ask to be paid for it directly rather than sending the bill to a third party and fighting for a percentage. We will gladly prepare a superbill, a detailed receipt you can submit to your own insurer for reimbursement. We do accept personal injury cases, such as car accidents, and we handle complex ones well.

Do I need a referral from a doctor?
No. In Florida, chiropractors are portal-of-entry physicians. You can walk in off the street with anything, and it is our job to determine whether it belongs in our scope. If it does, we take care of you. If it does not, we refer you to someone we trust.
Do I need X-rays first, or will you take them?
No imaging is required before you come in. If our orthopedic and neurological exam turns up something that calls for further diagnostics, we order imaging then. That is rare, and it usually follows severe trauma or long-standing intense symptoms. If you already have scans, bring them. We read advanced imaging well, and we will walk you through what your films actually show. Teaching you what is happening in your own body is half our job.
Is chiropractic safe? What about my neck?
Yes. The fear behind this question comes from imagining one kind of chiropractic: a hard crack forced into a neck. That is nowhere near how we work. Chiropractic holds hundreds of techniques across a full spectrum of force, some as light as the touch you would use to check whether an avocado is bruised. We never force a joint that is guarding. When your body says not yet, we listen, change our approach, and help that area open on its own terms. Done well, a cervical adjustment feels like relief.
I have been to a chiropractor before and it did not last. Why would this be different?
First question: how much time did that chiropractor spend with you? If you were cracked in one second, put on a machine, and handed off for a massage, you experienced volume chiropractic, and we practice something else. We slow down. We adjust nothing until your body is ready. When we set up on a segment and everything locks down and guards, we treat that as information: the system is still in defense there. So we change the contact, the depth, the posture, the breath, and we help that area open. When we return to it, it moves with the lightest gram of tension. We love chiropractic in all its forms; different offices serve different needs. If what you need is someone who takes their time and takes complete care of you, that is what we built this office to do.
What happens at my first visit?
You start by telling us your story: what is bothering you, how long it has lasted, and what was happening in your life when it began. Many of our patients come for wellness rather than a complaint, and the history matters just as much for them. Then a full physical exam with neurological and orthopedic testing: reflexes, myotomes, dermatomes, range of motion, everything needed to rule out red flags. Then comes our chiropractic assessment, which reads the three subsystems that stabilize your spine, a framework from the spine researcher Manohar Panjabi. The passive system is your bones and ligaments. The active system is your muscles and tendons. The neural control system includes the mechanical tension running through the spinal cord itself. In most people, those three systems carry asymmetrical tension, and the asymmetry shows us where the body has disconnected. Then we take care of you. Every visit after the first is shorter, because we already know you and your spine.
Will I be adjusted on my first visit?
Almost always, yes. Once the exam is done, you receive care the same day. The rare exception is a finding that needs further diagnostics before we put our hands on you.
Does an adjustment hurt?
No. An adjustment should never hurt, because a skilled chiropractor never adjusts into defense: into a guarded muscle, active tension, or a joint that is locking down. We adjust smoothly and easily, and what most people feel is relief. For babies, elderly patients, and complex neurological cases, we use contacts so gentle there is no cavitation at all. No pop, no click. What we work for is a change in your body's organization: more symmetry, less tension, easier breath. And we tell every patient at every visit: if anything we do is uncomfortable, say so, and we change course immediately.
What is the popping sound?
The pop is nitrogen gas releasing inside a joint capsule that has been stuck. It means the joint has finally opened and is moving again. It also comes with a small endorphin release, which is why internet chiropractic loves it: joints cavitating next to a microphone make a loud, satisfying video. Joints cavitate in our office too. But we never chase the sound, and we rarely adjust multiple segments in one visit; we reserve that for intense cases like car accidents. The change we want happens in the tone of your system, and it often arrives silently.
I do not like being cracked. Do you have gentler options?
Hundreds of them. Most chiropractic techniques involve no cavitation at all. Upper cervical work, with some twenty distinct approaches, produces no crack. Pediatric adjusting, an entire discipline with its own courses and diplomates, produces no crack. We always work toward symmetry and a proper level of tension across everything holding you together: spine, spinal cord, fascia, muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, organs, and the fluid moving through all of it. Healthy tissue is neither rock nor marshmallow. It carries the right tone to process information, transmit force, and let you live well in your body. You can browse the techniques we draw from on Techniques.
How long is a visit?
Your first visit runs about an hour: roughly 20 for the exam and 40 for care. We never have to rush if your body asks for more. Regular visits run about 30 minutes. This is craftsmanship, and if your body needs more time on a given day because life has handed you a divorce, a move, or a loss, we take the time. Our signature immersive experience runs two hours.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear something comfortable you can lie face-down in: joggers, sweatpants, and jeans all work. Shorts are fine, though bare legs on a leather table for twenty minutes can get less comfortable. Religious dress is always welcome. Please keep a shirt on; you will never be unclothed in this office. Skip clothing with metal spikes or oversized buttons, for the tables' sake. We will ask you to take your shoes off, so wear something easy to slip out of. The office runs a little cool, so bring a jacket if you run cold. There is space for your bag, phone, and keys, and if you are a parent, bring the stroller. Whatever you need to be comfortable, we will work with you.
Is it normal to feel sore or tired after an adjustment?
Sometimes, and it means the work landed. If you have been burning the candle at both ends for months and your sympathetic nervous system has been running nonstop, a good session brings your parasympathetic system back online. You breathe into the bottom of your lungs for the first time in a while. Your mind slows. Tired is a common response to that shift. Soreness works the same way: years of held tension can ache as it unwinds. Just as often, people leave feeling more ease and relief than they have felt in years. Either way, the response is your body finally processing what it has been holding.
How many visits will I need?
We do not sell care plans. Many offices will hand you a schedule on day one: three visits a week for the next six weeks. Our honest answer is that we usually see a patient once, work to the full depth of our ability in that session, and let the results speak. Many people feel so much better that they wait a good while before coming back. Some, carrying a lot, come weekly for a week or two. If you genuinely want a schedule, we will give you one, and it will be lighter than you expect. Severe cases that need deep, sustained care exist, and we handle them at a very high level, but they are the exception.
Once I start, do I have to come forever?
No. Nothing about this care is addictive, and nobody here will pressure you into a lifetime schedule. Here is what does happen. We show you how your body works, and you feel more connected, calmer, and safer in your own skin than you may have ever felt. Some people decide that belongs in their life the way training or good food does. Those people choose to come for years, and we take that as a compliment. The choice stays yours, every visit.
Why would I keep coming if I feel fine?
Two questions hide inside that one. First: can you actually feel what is going on in your body? Plenty of people tell us they feel fine while lying on our table with a high hip, a neck like a bar of metal, shallow breath, and a mind that will not stop. That is disconnection wearing the costume of fine. Second: suppose you really are connected and feeling great. Our work raises the connection between brain and body, and that work has no clinical maximum. Every visit, we find new patterns, new places tension is binding in fascia and muscle, new layers to work through. At our private retreats, we run multiple sessions a day for several days on people with no complaints at all, and they leave breathing and moving like new people. Fine is a floor. The question is how connected you want to be.
Do you care for children and during pregnancy?

Yes to both, and this is some of the work we love most. We have cared for babies from their first day of life. Even a perfect birth, with no C-section, forceps, or vacuum, is one of the most intense experiences a nervous system will ever have. A baby holding stress from it can show up with colic, latching trouble, sleep trouble, or digestive trouble. A baby cannot tell you what hurts, so we work the way a good veterinarian does: by reading the body directly, with contacts gentler than anything you are imagining. Other providers refer babies to us all the time, and those babies usually get much better. You can read how we approach this work in Pediatrics.

For pregnancy, we care for moms from the first trimester through delivery, including Webster technique for the pelvis and care for asymmetrical contractions late in term. Special pillows let you lie on your belly comfortably, or we work with you seated or on your back. Our aim is a comfortable pregnancy, a good labor, and a safe delivery, and the route there is the tone of your whole system, occiput to coccyx. Most of the moms we care for keep coming after the baby arrives. Then they bring the baby.

Can I be adjusted if I am older, have osteoporosis, or have had spine surgery?
Yes. The care is gentler than you are imagining. We adjust people with osteoporosis, ankylosing spondylitis, spinal fusions, and decades of history, using the same graded, specific contacts we use on newborns. The contact is matched to the bone it is meeting. The loud, forceful chiropractic you have seen online is a performance style, and it has nothing to do with how we will care for you.
Can chiropractic replace my medical doctor?
No single kind of care replaces another. Great care makes all your other care better. The chiropractor you want works well with your medical doctor, your doula, your nutritionist, your trainer, and your coach, because together they take better care of you than any one of them alone. That is the role we play, and we play it well. Where something falls outside our scope, we say so and refer you to someone we trust.
What kind of chiropractic is this?
Tonal chiropractic. We work on the tone of the body, and we have built our own unified model of tone. It is the first complete account of how the body's regulatory systems link and function as one, moving in phase with each other through fluid, through fields, through mechanical tension, through neural oscillation. Your body is a mirror of everything happening inside it. Our work makes the system as symmetrical as possible and reduces its tension, so information and force move through you clean.
What do you mean by tone?
Tone is the operating tension of your whole system, and it is never a single number. No instrument reads it the way a cuff reads blood pressure. When we palpate you, we feel it directly: bones like dinosaur knuckles or joints that glide, muscle like wood or muscle like marshmallow, fascia that slides or fascia like sticky spiderweb around the spine. Those textures tell us the tone of your body, and the tone of your body reflects the tone of the nervous system regulating it. Chiropractic works on the nervous system, and the nervous system regulates everything else: muscle, immunity, digestion, hormones. That is why tone is the variable we care about above all others.
Why do you talk about the nervous system so much? I thought chiropractors worked on backs.
We work on the back because the back holds the spine, the spine holds the spinal cord, and the spinal cord is continuous with the brain. There is no anatomical point where brain ends and cord begins; it is one organ, and the spine is its suit of armor. D.D. Palmer and the early chiropractors discovered they could use the bones and tissues of the spine as levers to interact with the cord inside. In the 1960s, the neurosurgeon Alf Breig showed that tension and elongation of the spinal cord affect the peripheral nerves even more than compression does. His work later grew into entire techniques built around the tension of the nervous system itself, including Torque Release, Network, and Chiropractic BioPhysics. Every adjustment we make is a conversation with that system. You can go deeper in The Nervous System.
How is this different from massage or physical therapy?
Through the lens of tone, all three professions work on the same human being, and we respect all of them. What differs is the philosophy, the analysis, and the force. Physical therapy strengthens: someone teaches your muscles to produce more. Massage redistributes: someone works tension through your tissue by hand. Chiropractic connects: someone finds the blind spots your brain has lost contact with and brings your awareness back to them. Different professions, different tools, and they work beautifully together.
Why do you check my nervous system every visit instead of just adjusting the same spots?
If we had to adjust the same segment every week, one of two things would be true. Either your system is stuck, holding tension the same way every time because it cannot process the stress in your life, or we are failing to find and shift what actually needs shifting. Checking is how we know. Every visit, we read your muscle patterns, your fascia, your leg check, your range of motion, and we look for change. Life is dynamic. Your body should be too.
You run retreats and teach other chiropractors. What is that about?
Both come from the same conviction: craftsmanship in chiropractic, practiced at its ceiling. At our private retreats around the country, we work multiple sessions in a single day, several days in a row, peeling back layers of stress the way you peel an onion. Three sessions back to back reach a depth one session cannot. And we teach other chiropractors because we love this work and the world gets better when more hands can do it. Doctors travel to learn what we practice here. You get the benefit of that every time you are on our table.
